The Image (象)
Water over wood: The Well. The superior person encourages the people at their work and urges them to help one another.
Meaning
The well is unchanging — a dependable source that nourishes all who come to it. Access the deep, inexhaustible source within yourself. Share this nourishment freely with others.
Advice
Connect with your deep inner source — it never runs dry. Like a well, be dependable and available to others. Don't neglect the maintenance of this source, or the rope may break before reaching the water.
