The Judgment (彖)
Standstill. Evil people do not further the perseverance of the superior person. The great departs, the small approaches.
The Image (象)
Heaven and earth do not unite: Standstill. The superior person withdraws into their inner worth to avoid difficulties.
Meaning
Stagnation. Communication has broken down. The creative and receptive forces are moving apart rather than together. A time of decline and withdrawal.
Advice
Don't fight the stagnation head-on. Withdraw, focus on inner development, and wait for the cycle to turn. Standstill always eventually gives way to Peace again.
